Information

A core tenet of emergency medicine has been the pursuit of resuscitative excellence. However, the landscape of emergency medicine has changed, with more critically ill patients arriving at the emergency department and boarding well beyond their initial resuscitation. This has required emergency physicians to elevate their critical care skills well beyond the early resuscitative phase. Join us in this session as we share the progress emergency medicine has made over the years to become recognized as masters of resuscitation. We will also look ahead to what comes next for our field, bringing what has traditionally been considered "upstairs care" downstairs to the emergency department.
